Quick guide

Setting the System
Pulsar 5 and Pulsar 10 Only.
This action is also sometimes referred to as Closing, switching on,
Arming or Activating the system.
Before setting the system, ensure the following-
I. All doors and windows are secured.
2. Ensure that movement detectors are not obsuucted.
3. All pets are removed from the protected area.
4. Hazards which activate sensors are eliminated.
5. No people are still in the building.

I) Enter your four digit code.
or
2) Press the 7 and 9 keys together to start the exit tone.
(This function may have been disabled by your alarm company.)
The SET LED will flash and the exit tone will sound. It is normal for the
detector in the hall way, normally zone 2 to be in alarm while setting. If the
final exit door, normally zone I, is open that LED will also be illuminated
Press the tick key and the System will now be in setting in the Silent Mode.
Leave the building and lock the final exit door.
The Pulsar 10 alarm system may also need the Exit terminator button (also called
Push to set) to be pressed to set the system. This is normally sited outside the final
door and looks like a door bell button. Press this once and wait for the tone to stop.
When the sounder stops, (or bleeps if switched to silent . the seem is SET.
Your premises are now secure,
Some Systems may be programmed to automatically switch to 'Part Set' mode, if the Pulsar does not detect you leaving via the final exit door (zone I).


Part Setting the System

Pulsar 5 and Pulsar 10 Only.
A system is said to be Part Set if only certain zones are programmed to be switched on. This facility is often used in the domestic household, when at night, the downstairs area
is protected while the upstairs is not. It is also possible to Part Set the system silently, so
generating the least amount of disturbance. This is achieved by pressing the YES key to
silence the Exit tone and generating a 'Bleep* when the system has set successfully.

Note
Some systems may programmed to auto switch 'Part Set' mode,
if the Pulsar does not detect you leaving via the final exit door (zone I).

Setting the Alarm Going to Bed.
Press the 4 and 6 keys together to start the exit tone.
(Your system may be programmed by your alarm company to be silent,
to avoid waking up any persons who may be asleep).
This will start the Exit tone and any zones in fault, will be displayed.It is normal for the detector. in the hall way. (normallyzone 2) to be in alarm while setting.

Unsetting the System
Pulsar 5 and Pulsar 10 Only.
The following action will turn off a Pulsar system that was previously SET.
This is also known as Opening or Disarming the system, or putting it into the DAY I
Enter the premises via the designated route, such as opening the front door
(Final exit first entry zone) and proceed directly to the Pulsar (or the remote keypad) fast intermittent tone will be heard when opening the door.
Quickly proceed to the Control Panel or, if fitted, the nearest Remote Keypad
