powermax+ texecom oddesy
hi inherited a texecom bell box after upgrading the alrm system to a powermax+
have tried to wire it and keep getting tamper issue showing. i understand that i need to introduce a resistor into the tamper circut in the box. can anyone explain please?have wired in powermax+ wiring as this
hold- -d, ext -b, int -s, +12v -a, zone30 -c, have 2kohm resistor which i removed from term zone30&gnd in powermax.
also i have heard ther is a way of adding addl red led to the box for an alternative indicator to show alarm armed.. ie 12v led to 1k resitor 24 gauge wire using +12v and pgm?
any adviceplease

Hi,

You can buy a ready assembled flashing red led from any motor factors, simply wire it up.

Need to get back to you on the connections.

Keep an eye on your post.

Hi,

Are you using the Visonic Powermax (wireless) ? Can't see your connections listed, Only + & - to the sounder.

It's probable that the resistor at 30 should remain intact across the terminals. Can you meter these terminals to determine which is positive and negative ?

RE: powermax+ texecom oddesy
Try this:-

Com + to A
D to PGM-
Ext - to B
C to Z30-

Link S and B at sounder. leave resistor intact at Z30 terminals.

Provided Pgm - is a permanent negative and Z30 is programmed as 24hr.
