help challenger alarm fault

i set my alarm (remote keypad ) and omit zone 3 as i do every evening all is fine switch the alarm off in the morning go into zone 3 all hell breaks loose the alarm sounds i have to go back to the remote and after 5 or 6 attemps i can rest the alarm and then switch it off anyone have any ideas help

I can only assume that when you went to turn off the alarm in the morning , that it didn't turn off ( faulty keypad button , incorrect user code ).Is it working now?.

yes it works after the fault but but i dont understand how an omited zone becomes live after the alarm is turned off causing the alarm to sound

i think i need to replace my panel can you Recommend a good reliable challenger this is my second one in 4 years

Always recommend Texecom R8 , reliable panel , good manuals, suggest a new battery too.
If you have a fault on your wiring , then replacing the panel will have no effect.

Sounds like the zone is programmed as a PA?
